Hi everyone,
I am having problems getting my daily transaction log backups to work on a maintenance plan. The plan is set up to create a trn transaction log backup and notify the operator if the job errors and fails to run.
For some reason, the job will execute with no errors, but it will send me a "job failed" email. It does create the trn backup files too. This defeats the purpose of notify since I only want to be notified if the job really did fail. Since there is no real error, I can't find anything in the log history to tell me why I got the fail message.
Has anyone ever encountered this problem?
