Hi all!
Recently I found out, that the CPU utilisation from the sqlserver.exe had grown from app. 2-5% to 80-90% on the server, and that had caused it to be pretty slow.
But, I found out only by accident.
It would be helpfull, if i got a daily report on the 'Healt' of the remote server. Of cause this monitoring should not cost more than very little perfermance.
Any good ideas for tools?
Best regards

Daily isn't good enough. You can easily roll your own alerting for lots of things, or have a consultant set some monitoring up for you.
There are a number of 3rd-party options too. Confio (now SolarWinds), Quest (now Dell), Red Gate, Idera, SQL Sentry, ApexSQL. A number of smaller players too. Most have trial versions you can test out. But if you really don't know much about SQL Server then a monitoring tool won't really be much good. You won't know how to configure it and you won't know what to do when it tells you something is going south. Back to a targeted consultant ...
