Too many connections from Sharepoint 2010

    Our sharepoint database is running on SQL Server 2008 R2. Recently I found the connection from Sharepoint 2010 to database named "Search_Service_Application_xxx_PropertyStore_xxx" have been keep grown and now the total session count are greater 10000. The old connection never be disconnected automatically...

    Does anyone know how to limit max number of connections from Sharepoint 2010?

    I'm not totally familliar yet with 2010, I know there are some settings under Session Management Settings which may be worth a look. The other thing I've used to limit runaway sharepoint instances is resource governor. That may be worth a look especially in instances where you are not the sharepoint administrator.
