to set differential,full retention days in litespeed 6.5

    Hi,

    i am using light speed 6.5 for differential and full backups

    we require differential backup retention as 3days and full as 1day

    so how to set these days kindly help me in thhis issue

    Why do you keep the differential backups longer than the full backups? Once the full backup taken prior to the differential is gone, the differential is no longer any good.

    two ways

    add a clean up maintenance plans task and give it a number of days to keep

    or

    in the back up database task on the options menu enable remove files older than

    please read through the chm which is provided in the LiteSpeed start menu which details on how to do these tasks.

    You still haven't explained why you would retain the differential backup longer than the full backup to which it would be applied during a restore.
