Hi All,
We are trying to restore DB from one machine to other. The backup has run successfully on to the tape and the same tape is used for restoration on the new server.
While restoring it works perfectly fine till it reads the contents of the tape and when adding the tape it says Timeout Expired.
Any help would be highly appreciated.
Thanks and Regards
Madhav

Make sure NT Backup or some other process isn't holding the tape drive or accessing it.
It is not recommended that you back up to tape. I'd back up to disk and then use NTBackup or some other software to back up the disk files.

I'm having the same issue here, it's definatly not due to the tape being held up by some other backup solution because the error will state tape in use.. or something related... did you manage to solve it? :hehe:
