  I get the above message in ActiveX script when I use Excel_Workbook.Save

  If I click Continue the files save OK.

  I have tried manually overwriting the templates on the Production server using Excel 97 but this does not seem to resolve the problem when I rerun the package.

  Apart from completely rebuilding the templates starting with a new file on the Production server, is there another method.

  I guess the problem caused because I created the templates on my development server which has Office XP.

  I ended up recreating all the templates on the Production Server using Excel 97. This proved to be easier than I first imagined.

  I created a new workbook.

  Copied and pasted the open workbook macros from old to new and then dragged the sheets from the old workbook into the new workbook and saved it with the Template name.

  The hardest bit was having to recreate the custom views.

  A similar issue was faced by me. I remember installing a newer version of excel into the server to fix the problem. If you think that you had some other better workaround please share the same.
