Hi all,
I use Microsoft SQL Server 2016 (SP1) (KB3182545)
server hangs periodically and the last error which is logged is :
There is insufficient system memory in resource pool 'default' to run this query.
How can I monitor which process or query , ... causes the error namely how can I detect memory leakage ?
I have 176 GB memory in server and maximum server memory set : 173000

The error may be solved by reducing Max Memory such that at "full load" there is still physical memory left operating system.
I agree. Have you left the max Memory Setting to it's Installation Default? If so reduce it to a Level that leaves enough Memory over for the Operating Syste to do it's Thing.
