  • I didn't know about Gladys West until I read your list. What an amazing woman.

  • Grace Hopper, to hear how the process of developing COBOL came to be, Bryan Kernighan and Dennis Richie for their development of C and involvement with Unix, Ada Lovelace, and Charles Babbage, and I'd add a 6th party, Alan Turing. The last three being the earliest pioneers of programmable machines and computer mathematics.

    I had heard of her, but didn't realize the extent of her accomplishments until a few years ago.
