  Hi All

  I got the following error (every half a second) in my Error Logs:

  The time stamp counter of CPU on scheduler id 5 is not synchronized with other CPUs.

  I then executed the stored proc sp_configure, mentioned in the KBS article http://support.microsoft.com/kb/931279

  It worked for a few hours or so then the message just pops up in the logs again. BUt this time every half an hour or every hour.

  Is there perhaps another way I can get rid of this msgs (filling my logs 🙁 ) or is it something that can be ignored?

  There are several items on the internet about this error. It's a timing issue, mostly caused by power-saving settings in your server.

  I know there's a hotfix fot this, which will reduce the amount of messages.
