Well said, Steve. I'm in a similar position. The more senior I get in my career, the more important soft skills become.
One thing I've learned is that my legacy knowledge becomes a lot more important as my company works through turnover. More and more often I'm being asked questions about things I worked on 5-10 years ago because I'm one of the few left who were around then.
