The client was unable to reuse a session with SPID 64, which had been reset for connection pooling. The failure ID is 29. This error may have been caused by an earlier operation failing. Check the error logs for failed operations immediately before this error message.

  • I started getting this error in my SQL Error Log last week. The error message is sporatic, but when I see it, there will be anywhere from one and multiple occurances, ranging one minute apart.

I am running a default instance of SQL 2008 Enterprise Edition with SP1 on Windows 2008 64Bit. The server is not clustered, has 32GB of RAM with 28GB dedicated to SQL Server, Dual Quad Core Processors.

CPU usage is VERY low, Disk and Network I/O are within normal ranges, and Memory looks good too.

From what I have found, this was an issue in SQL 2005 but was fixed with a hotfix. Has anyone else had this error in SQL 2008 and can point me to a fix?

    Thanks in advance,

    Cathy
