I always had suspicion on the covid statistics provided by China these last few years. Even if the hard line lockdowns were as effective as claimed, then that can mislead. The fact that people can be harmed from not being allowed to see a doctor or get the food they need means one harm is substituted for another. So the notion that China has been a safe location during the pandemic is not something that I agree with. I believe there is much masking going on.
