I am a new DBA and I have transactional replication set up with one SQL 2005 server that is the publisher and distributor and 5 other SQL 2005 servers as subscribers. I am running Idera's SQL Diagnostic Manager to monitor all of my databases and I see that regularly these servers show a long running transaction related to my distribution agent. Then maybe once or twice a day when I am checking in the replication monitor within SSMS I see "TCP Provider: An existing connection was forcibly closed by the remote host" then it reconnects and seems fine.
How can I find out what is causing this this forced disconnect in order to resolve this issue?
Thanks
