sysfiles v. sysaltfiles

    Is the info contained in master.dbo.sysaltfiles an aggregate of the info from sysfile from each of the different DBs?

    sysaltfiles has a little bit more information, createlsn and droplsn, which are related to the data allocation.

    This is a holdover from pre v7. Not sure that you need this information anymore.

    Hi all,

    is there a case that the size of the database files are not equal in two tables? Any thoughts?
