Hi there,
Did an SQL2005 installation, which gave me some trouble. I checked everything to be installed(Standard Edition on W2003) and the installation crashed somewhere for no descernible reason. Installed all components 1-by-1, starting with DBEngine and Client utilies. This took time, but everything installed without problem. AFAIK everything works.
Now I open the MSMS and cannot see the Summary page. Looking in the view menu does not give option for Summary page. F7 does not pop-up Summary page...
I have googled the Net, but could not find anything like this. Any idea what could be wrong?
EDIT:
Some more info: it looks I HAVE some replacements for SUmmary, it's called Object Explorer Details. It shows the same icons as Summary window, except for the Report option. This is a real bummer, very important tool for me. I still have not figured what causes this behaviour.

Not sure if this is the case for you, but I seem to remember that there have been some changes to the summary page through the different service packs. Did you install any SP? If not I would install SP2 and see if it makes a difference.

Just saw your edit of the original post and now I'm sure. In the RTM version it was called Object Explorer details and either Sp1 or 2 changed it to Summary page.
