Subscriber is slowing down after replication

  • Hi there

We are replicating over night. The Sql server which is the subscriber is really slowing down after the replication. It is a sql databse for a e business asp application.

    It's a snaphot replication.

He has to boot his server so it would speed up.

What can cause this problem ?

We are both using SQL 2005. The subscriber server has an antivirus running but the data drive is excluded from scanning.

    Many thanks

  • Usually after snapshot delivery SQL rebuilds all indexes so this is probably not related with replication. Have you tried updating the stats. I am assuming that many execution plans get invalidated.
