Subscriber is slowing down after replication

    Hi there

    We are replicating over night. The Sql server which is the subscriber is really slowing down after the replication. It is a sql databse for a e business asp application.

    It's a snaphot replication.

    He has to boot his server so it would speed up.

    What can cause this problem ?

    We are both using SQL 2005. The subscriber server has an antivirus running but the data drive is excluded from scanning.

    Usually after snapshot delivery SQL rebuilds all indexes so this is probably not related with replication. Have you tried updating the stats. I am assuming that many execution plans get invalidated.
