STRANGE way ---LOG SHIPPING - out of sync

  Hi,

   

  I got one of my database out of sync by 1435 min. I am 100% sure everything was fine 10 min back, NO  refresh issue, or threshold issue or alter suppression issue. And "Alter Job Restore" never failed.

   

  If DB was out of sync then there should be error messages in log going back 1435 min, but there was none, except for last 1 hour when system started restoring TRN log (SERVER WAS ALSO NOT DOWN DURING THIS TIME)

   

  Checked logs, found that over 280  TRN files were applied twice, one at its usual time ,with 5 min delay,  and again in last one hour.

   

  Any idea what might have happened?

  SAGA Continues...

  What I observered in last two weeks, when ever I run DEFRAG , logshipping goes out of sync..

  Nextx week will run TRACE on log_SHIPPING* tables to see what exactally happens. 

  Any comments....
