I have been asked to look at a project re storing various scanned documents within SQL2008. The requirement is to store around 1TB of scanned and searchable PDF documents as Blobs.
Now depending where I look I get different points of view about the feasability of this. What is the general consensus about storing PDFs in Blobs ? especially in regard to seaching and displaying the documents via a web front end ?
Any thoughts would be great.

Hi !
If I were you, I'd have a look to the FILESTREAM approach.
In my own projects, i have to store various formats of documents (scanned images, pdf files, rich text blobs, DOC files, Excel workbooks...) and the FILESTREAM has proved to be a viable choice.
