Stopping DB STARTUP processes

  Hi. I am having problems with DB STARTUP entries in sysprocesses. I know that this is due to processes being aborted and the server is attempting to rollback transactions, The databases that have this are part of the High Availability group.and I can see this state appearing in both servers. This has been going for probably a month now. I can see that it is clocking up CPU and physical_io, hence, my concern.
  We have been experiencing significant slowdown lately.
  I have attached the results of "select * from sysprocesses where cmd='DB STARTUP'".
  Please advise as to how I should handle it.
