SSMS and SSRS 2008 R2 Excel

  • Hi,

I am having a report SSRS 2008 R2 which will give me the records of more than 1 lack record.I need to save it them in Excel sheet, but i coludn't :w00t: why?

If i run the query in SSMS i am able to save the 1 lack records in excel.

But why cant be in SSRS why there was the limit set in SSRS as 65536

why there no set the limit in SSMS

Why such limitations are there in SSRS alone

I am just comparing with SSMS and SSRS

    Thanks
    Parthi

  • Which version of Excel does SSRS export to? If 2003, you have the 65536 row limit.

Using SSMS, in which version of Excel do you copy paste the results?

ps: keep in mind that this is an international site. Not everybody knows what lakh is.

It seems that it's just not possible in SSRS to export over 65536 rows.

However, a report containing more than 65000 rows is not a report, that's a data dump 🙂
