Morning Guys,
I have a dedicated SSIS server and SSISDB hosted on Server C.
Server C executes an SSIS package that is stored in SSISDB on Server C but has connection to Server A and B. It transfers data from Server A to Server B every 15 minutes.
Does having the SSIS Package on Server C cause the data to detour through that server? I.e the data physically passed through Server C. Rather than going from A to B it goes A to C to B?
Cheers

In simple terms, yes. There are 2 connections, A-C and B-C. SSIS doesn't create a connection between A and B, it connects to each and then feeds the data from one to the other via itself.
