SSIS in SQL 2016

  • Hi All,

    What am I missing. I have installed SQL 2016 and thought I had installed all the services and I can see integrated services but can't seem to find the app itself

    Thanks,

    Kris

  • What app are you looking for ?

    you normally develop SSIS packages with SQL Server Data Tools - the SQL 2016 Setup.exe has a link to the current version. However, I would rarely considering installing that on a server. This would normally be installed on a workstation only

  • I don't have SQL server data tools. I have everything else

    Thanks,

    Kris

  • You can download SSDT 2016 after that you can develop SSIS package ,SSRS and SSAS.

    https://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/mt204009.aspx

  • You can also download SSDT directly from Visual Studio 2015 Community if you have it installed.

    The install process installs only the Services, not the Software.

  • Try Start->Run->"devenv.exe"
