I'm curious, did the OP get the idea for this question by watching the SSIS Tips&Tricks session on the 24 hours of PASS? Josef Richberg devoted a section on FastParse.

Nice question... looking at the formats I guessed... I spend a lot of time in SSIS these days, but it's mostly SQL-SQL not Text File-SQL.
That said, those were the two commonmost date formats I've seen in help docs for SSIS
