SSIS error: Exception has been thrown by the target of an invocation.

  • Hi All,

I created a script task and the task is running fine and doing what it is supposed to do. But after the task ends, I get an error

Error: System.Reflection.TargetInvocationException: Exception has been thrown by the target of an invocation. ---> System.NullReferenceException: Object reference not set to an instance of an object.

I checked the script and it has nothing to do with the code in the script. Have you guys seen this kind of error before?

    Thanks

  • This is the key part of the message:

Object reference not set to an instance of an object

There's an object in your code that is being referenced but has not been instantiated.
