SSIS access permissions

    I am confused between the two ways of allowing access to users on SSIS. How are the following two are different ?

    Modifying security for My Computer and adding a user over there and

    Modifying properties of DCOM config -->Msdtssrvr and adding user over there ?

    What kind of actions are being performed by the package ? Would they actually need to be manually executed ?

    Do have service accounts for the package ?

    Why do users need any sort of SSIS privileges?
