SSIS 2012 connection to Azure BYOD

  • we do have SQL server 2012, ssis 2012 on-premise DW environment.  Now we need to bring data from AZURE BYOD vendor database server. Please let me know if any one have suggestions. Currently we are not ready to upgrade the server.

  • What part is troubling you?

You would just setup a connection manager as normal.

There will be caveats like ensuring a network link is in place between Azure and On-Prem, firewalls open etc.   But an Azure VM with SQL on it acts just like a normal SQL server On-Prem.

  • Our security team approved only Azure AD Authentication. But, I don't see Azure Active directory authentication options in my ssis 2012 when i try to connect with ado.net source. I got struck here.
