I install SQL Server 2014, both the Client and Server tools on a Windows 2012 Windows Server.
I'm not straight about SSDT or the replacement for BIDS?
I have a SSDT for 2012 but I can't find the one for 2014.
I install it ok weeks ago but I'm trying to install the client on another PC.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Happy New Year. 🙂

Is this what you are looking for?
Yes, I believe that is for the BI tools.
What about the client tools? I just want to install SSMS 2014 and the Import and Export Data. What do I need to do that?
Thanks!

Have a look here and look for 'SQL Server Management Studio Express'
I can't just install the client, right?
Our users are uses to having the full client.
I just purchased SQL Server 2014 a few minutes ago.
Thanks again.

Where is the download for the SQL Server 2014 Client?
If you mean the management tools, you should follow the link I sent previously. (If 'SQL Server 2014 Client' means something else to you, please elaborate.)
Click on Download and scroll to the end of the "Choose the download you want" list.
PS I found all of this out via Internet searches – it's not stuff I know off the top of my head.

Well thanks. I have been searching too but I'm uncertain that what I have found is what I need.
I'm not sure which link I need. I need the BI tools but I need the full blown Client Tools.
i.e when I click on programs > SQL Server 2014 I should see Download Microsoft SQL Server Compact, SQL Server Import Export 32 and 64 bit and SQL Server Management Studio.
With SQL Server 2008 you would just run the Setup Program and click on client tools.
I believe that I need SQL Server 2014 SSDT but I can only find the 2012 version.

It turns out that I have 32 bit and 64 bit clients. So I need the Client Tools for both OS's.
