SSAS not showing all options?

  • I have a DIM table of clients. It has ClientID, ClientName, and ClientNumber. ID is the PK and Number is the number the clients use to communicate with us. The fact table matches to Client on ClientID.

We have three systems that feed into the source DB, and a client can exist on one, two, or all three systems. Which means a client can have one, two, or three Client Numbers. (Yes, it's messy. Two of the systems are older and the disparity won't be fixed anytime soon.)

My issue is that when I browse my cube, I pull Client Name over to the Row Fields section. Then I pull Client Number over to be a subset of Client Name. Yet, when I open up the Client Name, I'm only seeing one of the Client Numbers, not multiple rows with a different Client Number on each.

I thought it could be a case issue, the different systems capitalize the client names differently, but the client names display in alpha order and are NOT repeated. Now I'm confused.

    Any ideas what I'm missing?

  • Nevermind! It's my bad.

I failed to notice that the ClientIDs are different as well as the ClientNumbers and that some of those IDs are filtered out of the Fact table with my Named Query. DOH.
