  sqlmaint.exe was deleted on our production SQL Server 2000. Is there anyway to re-install it so I can set up maintainence jobs on the server?

  its rather easy ! look at the sqlserver CD in the directory ..\x86\binn.

  There is the ORIGINAL sqlmaint.exe. ATTENTION: when you have installed a servicepack, you must use the file of the appropriate servicepack.

  its also located in the subdir ..\x86\binn of the unpacked Sp-file
