Hello,
I am running SQLH2 version 2.02 and am trying to report on 18 servers; 10 are displying the following message:
08/08/2006 15:39:00 Status: Initializing Target: SQL5
08/08/2006 15:39:00 Status: registering Server
08/08/2006 15:39:00 INFO: srv_id = 7; signature = 2e105401-7e72-4fed-9522-0ea743f1c37f
08/08/2006 15:39:00 Status: Scanning Registry on SQL5
08/08/2006 15:39:02 ERROR: Access to the registry key is denied.
I followed the step-by-step installation guide and got over most of the problem but this one ... The server seems to register OK but then SQLH2 can not access the registry. I am running this through my SysAdmin Account and can register all servers in Enterprise Manager/Server Management Studio.
I have previously posted this thread under 'Newbie' - and received a suggestion that the Remote Registry Service might be stopped. I checked and the service is running on all servers with the local system account creds.
Any ideas?
Many thanks!

Try giving to the account that runs the SQLH2 service, full rights to the SQL Server registry using regedt32.
