SQL SREVER 2000 and Windows 2003 Server

  • Hi Every body,

I need the help from you people. I have an application that uses SQL server 2000 running on Win2003 server Domain network. It will work very fine for the Domain user "admnistrator". The application itself uses an SQL user account (Say "SQLUSER") for accessing the SQL SERVER. I need to use the application with restricted domain user "Staff". I created a new Windows user (say "Staff") and logon to the domain and install the application. But it will not connected to the SQL SERVER. How can I use the application with the user Staff. Help me.

  • Did you add the new user as a login to SQL Server? By default, administrators have rights to log into SQL Server.

  • I didn't add the windows user to SQL Server. Thanks for your valuable reply.
