I'm sorry but could you be more specific?
In XP go to start all programs then system tools there is an option called System Restore it rolls the operating system back to previous dates choose a date at least two weeks back and then run system restore. When you have finished the system restore operation. Then try installing SQL Server SP3 again. The article in the link below will help you with system restore.

Thank you for your response.
I'm going to install another instance for I have suspected that it had something to do with the fact that I'm trying to convert from a default instance.
I have changed the default SQL Port and I had disabled SQL the Server Browser, created Aliases etc, but I enabled the browser service.
