Hi;
Team; I want to change SQL server 2005 timeout setting for TCP/IP. I m facing issue bcz of timout session, during load time I m facing this issue mostly.
Following are some issues
1 - [DBNETLIB] [ConnectionOpen] (PreLoginHandshake().] General Network error. check network documentation
2 - TCP Provider An existing connection was forcibly closed by remote host
sometime application running fine but some time it is showing error. Please suggest solution.
Also share the detial to increase the timeout value in SQL 2005. can we set timeout value by using SQL configuration manger. pls share steps.

Try restarting your netwrok services, I think that sould fix it.

also please confirm steps to increase the value of timeout session frrom SQL server 2005.

I would suggest talk to your network admins if you are not aware of how to do it.
