  Hello All,

  I'm looking a tool which will help me test configuration changes that I make at an O/s level and SQL server level. The idea being I can present a case/report for the proposed change.

  Is there some software out there which will be able to create test data, run queries and benchmark them and give me an overview of performance metric. If it provides a pretty graph all the better :-)..

  For some scope to this question I'm looking for 'out of the box' software(s) which will provide a solution or a company which people has used to help provide a solution.

  Have you tried usig Performance counters? Make good graphs if the log is open in Excel.

  Also for the queries you can use Profiler.
