Hi,
We have a database server where SQL Server 2008 Enterprise edition is installed.
Our processor is always running above 90%. Since its a virtual machine, we doubled the processor for the first day SQL Server was occupying 60% of the processor but later on it is again occupying above 90%?
Any suggestion on what is the actual reason for my processor to go beyond 90% and on how it can be controlled.
Is it that my database activity is too high and I am using lesser processor. How can one find what kind of processor capacity is required for their database usage?
Thanks in advance. Please let me know if any additional information is required to suggest a solution for the same.

Tune the queries, optimise the indexes or add more hardware.
