Hi All,
Really in big trouble I am. This is new prod box and already missed my SLA. I unistall SQL serevr default instance only DB engine and thought let RS be there after installtion of new instance I will link the RS to it.
Now the issue is after installation of this new instance Iam not able to start the RS. which was failing with below error. Then I tried to remove it from control pannel add/remove program the it is not listed in the instance as i have already unistall the old one.
Service cannot be started. System.Exception: Default appdomain failed to initialize.
at Microsoft.ReportingServices.Library.ServiceAppDomainController.Start()
at Microsoft.ReportingServices.Library.ReportService.OnStart(String[] args)
at System.ServiceProcess.ServiceBase.ServiceQueuedMainCallback(Object state)
so after googling I found, I removed registry for HKLM\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Microsoft SQL Server\Instance Name\RS and from services and tried to install the new RS but that it fails with the following error
MSI (s) (54:BC) [11:06:42:728]: Machine policy value 'TransformsSecure' is 1

Your post is a little confusing. In the first part you sound like you uninstalled the database engine but left Reporting Services, but in the second part you are deleting a registry key that is pointing to a Reporting Services instance. Why?
Do you have backups of your databases and report definitions? I hope you backed up the registry before deleting that key, because you may need to restore it.

Yes I have backedup the registry key.
1. I did unintall DB engine and reinstall it , this was done to change the collation. After reinstalling the DB Engine I am not able to configure reporting service. The service does not come up.
2. I tried to remove the existing RS thinking it might be linked to the earlier default instance, but not able to find it in the Add / remove progra, --> remove program.
3. I tried to add the feature RS to the new existing new default instance but The RS installation fails with error I have shared.
Any input.

Can you share the setup logs from when you tried to install a new instance of SSRS?
