SQL Server install & Database Tuning Advisor Tool

    It's been so long since I did an install of 2k5...

    Does anyone remember or know if the installation of the Database Tuning Advisor is automatic with the install of the Database Engine or if it's a client tool that can be "not installed"?

    I ask because we're getting ready to rebuild a server and I know for a fact that the DTA was either not installed by someone or there was a bug with our install that prevented it from getting fully installed to begin with.

    What edition are you working with? It is not installed with Express edition.

    Enterprise 32 bit (for the servers) and Developer 32 bit (for our local PCs).
