SQL Server DBA Needed in Des Moines Iowa--Staff

    Salary:  $60,000 - $67,000 and good benefits and relocation assistance provided.

    Location:  Des Moines Area, Iowa

    A premier organization is looking for a SQL SERVER DBA. He or she must be skilled with the following:

    SQL SERVER 2000/2005.

    Assess hardware, software, configuration needs on a recurring schedule for a scalable enterprise level database installation.

    Experience in development and deployment of a large scale, mission critical enterprise applications.

    Establish performance benchmarks.

    Create/update process for evaluating database performance for branches.

    Monitor production database performance on a continual basis.

    Make sure production software releases meet the performance benchmarks.

    Proactive prevention of system failure.

    Assess risks and implement plans to mitigate them.

    Work with developers on new enhancements for best database schema (tables, triggers, indexes, views and relationships).

    Ensure communication with design/developer is pro-active regarding these changes.

    Create/Update database related standards documentation.

    Setup and Maintain testing environment for database related development / testing work.

    Work with technical team and Project Manager for critical issues or future recommendations/enhancements.

    Test and deploy Sybase versions to Branch Sybase servers.

    Ability to write batch scripts to automate installs and upgrades of databases.

    Provide capability to know if scripts are operational.

    Must be a U.S. citizen or green card holder.
