SQL Server Agent Service Account Equivalent

  • I have an SSIS package in VS BIDS 2010 and using the Deploy function to put it on our 2012 server. Previously (before I started), the method was to make the package a step in a SQL Server Agent job, set the Package Source to "File System" and have it "Run As" the SQL Server Agent Service Account. I've been away from SSIS for a few years and the last time I really worked with it was 2005/2008.

I'm having trouble figuring out how to set this up as a job. It appears in my SSISDB catalog, but I don't see that catalog or the package appear in any of the Package Source options in the job. I haven't found anything online to help with this.

    Any pointers?

    Thanks

Do you have SSIS Catalog as a package source? That's for packages stored in SSISDB

  • I had tried that, but the server wasn't showing up. So I just typed it in and lo and behold, there's the package I'm looking for... Oy, what a dunce.

    Thank you!
