SQL server agent

    Does SQL server agent need to be running on both the Subscriber and Publisher in Push merge replication?

    I'm not sure of the answer here, but I see that this post has been sitting out there quite a while.

    An easy way to find out would be to set up the merge replication and shut off SQL Agent.

    It appears the agent does not need to be running on the Subscriber side.
