I have been debugging a strange issue where SQL Server 7 needs to connect to SQL Server 2008. We are checking for multiple solutions like ODBC, DSN, Query Analyzer, Enterprise manager but nothing is working out. On 2008, we verified port, firewall, remote connections, services. Everything looks good. I just out of curiosity thought of knowing from this forum if any one had got any chance to connect to SQL 2008 from SQL Server 7 or through DSN in Windows 2000. Thanks
