  We are thinking about setting up SQL server 2014 as our production sql server instance and we already have SQL server 2012 as our dev instance. So, my question is that is it possible to have SQL server 2012 as a secondary database for SQL server 2014 primary database, if the AlwaysOn feature of SQL server 2014 is implemented. If not, what other options there are which will help us to implement this?

  you could have a SQL 2012 as a primary and a SQL 2014 as secondary, the moment you failover though, the 2012 database is dead!
