SQL SERVER 2008 R2 transaction log shipping

    Sorry for mis confusion and comming to Shawpoint-- you mean replication and transaction logshipping will work together.

    In that which order we go fist ,,

    Yes they do and either order. They don't conflict with each other so it doesn't really matter.

    Thanks sharing the details. I have one more question. I see that I have set the restore job to happen 2 min dalay.

    so when my job runs first it skipped the transaction logs but when I again ran it it restored it.

    do i need to wait for 2 min to be over. do you think that the reason for the log getting skipped.

    Please respond as the earliest.

  • if you set up a delay then the log will not restore until that delay time has passed

    No idea to be honest. As long as it does restore and allows you to stat within your SLAs I wouldn't worry too much.

    sry for the confusion, Not sure seems like you mis undetstood, I am requesting to get the information if possibble sooner.
