sql server 2008 installation error on xp sp2

  i'm getting error while installing sql server 2008 on xp sp2.

  i have already installed visual studio sp1 while installing sql server 2008 it install xp hotfix KB-942288-v3 and KB-954550-v5 after getting following error.

  SQL Server Setup has encountered the following error:

  Object of type 'Microsoft.SQL.Chainer.Package.PropertiesTypeProperty' cannot be converted to type 'Microsoft.SQL.Chainer.Package.PropertiesTypeProperty'..
