  Hi Guys,

  After attending the Launch event in Birmingham I was interested in the new database encryption feature. Does anyone know if this will be available in Standard edition? This is something that would interest one of my clients but proably not with the enterprise price tag.

  It appears the encryption will be limted in standard edition (not sure what that means) and is of course subject to the MS disclaimer that SQL Server 2008 is not RTM so the document contents are subject to change.
