Hello,
Fairly new to the SQL server 2005 environment and having a few issues with maintenance plan scripting.
Can someone tell me if it's at all possible to set-up maintenace plans client side which have the ability to split out individual tasks with individual scheduling (SubPlans)
I've seen that it's possible whilst logged directly onto the server within the wizard, however this option doesn't appear to be present client side.
I also have another question, currently I'm unable to load Maintenance plans client side that have been setup via the server. The error message which I recieve is as follows:
TITLE: Microsoft SQL Server Management Studio
------------------------------
This maintenance plan has been modified using a tool other than the maintenance plan designer. You must use SQL Server Integration Services to modify this maintenance plan from now on. (ObjectExplorer)
------------------------------
BUTTONS:
OK
------------------------------
As fair as I am aware I have SSIS setup and configured, could this be down to permissions?
Thanks in advance
Daniel.

Found solution. The problem was purely down to SP2 being unpatched.
