  Hi,

  I want to update two SQL server 2005 from 9.00.3042.00 SP2 Standard Edition to 9.00.4035.00 SP3 enterprise edition and similarily 9.00.1399.06 RTM Standard Edition to 9.00.4035.00 SP3 enterprise edition..

  How can I do it and what all steps should I take to secure data prior to upgrade?

  The read-me file that comes with the download or is in BOL should suffice in giving you all this information.

  Most important thing BACKUP, BACKUP, BACKUP...and not just the databases (especially the databases though), but the complete server OS as well.
