I would like to find out if I can restore tables selectively from a backup.
Thanks in advance for your help

Unfortunately no, you will have to restore the whole backup. However, you can restore to another place or another name and then copy the specific table back using DTS or whatever other method may be of your liking.

No single table restore. David is correct.
Alternatives:
If you use filegroups, you only have to restore the filegroup (somewhere). This may be helpful for large dbs.
If you made a mistake in data updates, then Log Explorer (one of our advertisers) has a great product to help you undo issues.
