sql mail

    xp_sendmail call hangs after configuring mail on 6.5 server.

    With SQL 6.5 the SQL Mail component was not as seamless as it is now. Make sure that the SQL Services are running under their own account and the Outlook clients profile is under that account and that Outllok is running before you start SQL Mail (one from the memory bank).

    I have tried this, it still hangs. The same account is used for both SQL Server service and the profile. Is it possible when the call is made, something like a msg box is waiting for user input?  If so how do I fix it? I read somewhere there might some security option that I need to set, any idea where is that option is set?
