Fast paced, dynamic and growing software company with a focus on Supply Chain Planning (Demand Planning) seeks highly motivated, outgoing, detail oriented individual as a database developer in their Services Department:
This Database Developer will be responsible for:
1. Install software for clients
2. Performs Technical Training for customers
3. Implement Software at customer sites
3. Builds Stored procedures and maintain Stored procedure library
4. Writes the Data Movement utilizing DTS, Forecast Roll and reporting views of the project utilizing SQL Server
5. Performs database optimization for customers
6. Implements the database system designed for the applications, such as but not limited to:
i. Creates databases and relationships.
ii. Defines indices.
iii. Creates triggers/constraints to ensure database integrity, and business rules.
iv. Creates stored procedures to access the data.
v. Adds user, security and permissions.
vi. Creates data test to ensure that specifications are met.
vii. Installing, configuring, and tuning, SQL Server 7.0, 2000 and higher databases and servers.
7. Builds views and cubes for the reporting component of the implementation
8. Builds reports in Microsoft Excel and other reporting tools.
The ideal Database Developer should have:
1. At least three years experience with Software Implementations.
2. Experience working with upper management internally and externally at customer.
3. Experience interacting with customers.
4. Understanding of multi-tier architecture, databases, and reporting tools.
5. Knowledgeable on Windows platform. and Microsoft SQL Server.
6. Knowledgeable coding, debugging, and tuning of stored procedures, views, DTS packages, scripts and ad-hoc queries using standard 92 and Transact-SQL.
7. Full life cycle relational database modeling of both conceptual, logical, and physical database design, as well as creation and maintenance of table and index structures

2. Experience working with and supporting customers

6. Experience developing analytical database views
7. Experience optimizing queries
8. Experience developing DTS packages
